BILS, with support of Mondiaal FNV organised a four-day longintermediate training titled, “Development of Leadership at RMG Sector” on October 23-26, 2017 at BILS Seminar Hall. The training was organised aiming to protect workers’ rights through building capability at field level organisers of RMG sector and to play effective roles in union activities.
Identify the strengths and weaknesses in applying the knowledge and skills gained from foundation training, identifying issues for skills of organisers to collect Trade Union members and necessary activities for organising, identifying and preparing necessary documents for union registration, describing gender discrimination and necessity of gender equality, identifying sectors and activities of member services were the main objectives of the training.
Trade Union formation process, organisers skills and activities, Trade Union registration and documents, legal process, gender equality, gender based violence, organisers’ role were the discussed issues in the training.
