MRDI, with the support of BILS organised a follow up orientation programme titled “Women Advancement of getting Information, Follow up Orientation for Women Workers at Formal Sector” on March 22, 2017 at BILS Seminar Hall. Main objective of the programme was to protect rights of women workers and to utilize Right to Information Act for establishing justice.
Right to information and people’s empowerment, right to information for establishing accuracy and accountability, application and acknowledgment of Right to Information Act 2009, workers’ rights, citizen’s rights in case of utilizing Right to Information Act were the main discussed issues in the programme.
Information Commissioner of Information Commission Nepal Chandra Sarkar was present as an honourable guest in the inaugural session. Besides, MRDI Executive Director Hasibur Rahman, BILS Executive Director Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmmed and total number of 25 women workers from different sector participated in the orientation programme.
