BILS organised a consultation meeting titled “Role of Media for Protection of Workers’ Rights: Responsibility of Youth Trade Union Leaders” on December 26, 2016 at BILS Seminar Hall.
Explaining the role of media for protection of workers’ rights and tools for communication and bridging with media, explaining the process of information collection and evaluation and informing the responsibilities of Youth Trade Union leaders to disseminate information to media people were the main objectives of the meeting.
BILS Project Coordinator Kohinoor Mahmood chaired and Information Coordinator Yousuf Al-Mamun moderated the meeting while Asst. Professor of Journalism and Media Studies at Stamford University, Mohammad Mosharrof Hossain, New Age Staff Correspondent Rashed Ahmed, Senior Trainer Khondokar A Salam, Project Development Officer M A Majid, Program Officer Monirul Kobir and Youth Leaders of different Trade Union Federations were present in the meeting.
